Cardiovascular Ultrasound Breakthrough 2010 – Our commitment to you
GE Healthcare is pleased to showcase significant upgrades to the Vivid ™ Signature family of products and to the intracardiac echo (ICE) offerings on Vivid i and Vivid q.
Vivid Signature Family Products – Vivid S5 and Vivid S6
With more than 1700 systems installed, GE Healthcare’s Vivid S5 and Vivid S6 have established themselves as one of the global market leaders. Breakthrough 2010 enhancements build upon that strength while actively addressing the evolving customer’s needs in ultrasound plus image quality gets a boost from redesigned algorithms onboard both systems. The Vivid S6 also adds the M4S-RS matrix array probe for high quality cardiac imaging and specialized tools including Automated Function Imaging (for Global LV function information and regional contraction differences) and Strain/Strain Rate imaging (for detailed LV analysis). The Clear Vessel Method algorithm provides clearer carotid visualization. Vivid S5 adds widely used quantitative tools such as Tissue Velocity Imaging, Tissue Tracking and their quantitative analysis. The most used routine measurement, Ejection Fraction, becomes easy and fast to obtain with the AutoEF algorithm available on both systems.
Vivid i and q
GE Healthcare and Biosense Webster Inc. (BWI) are expanding their strong alliance with increased technology capabilities that synergize clinical applications and increase the clinical utility of BWI’s advanced therapeutic and mapping tools. GE's Vivid i and Vivid q BT 2010 now interface with the real-time 3-D Mapping CartoSoundÔ XP system for EP procedures. This provides the ability to combine intracardiac ultrasound images and the CartoSystem maps into the integrated CartoSound Module maps. This expanded feature on the Vivid i and Vivid q is supported by the SOUNDSTAR 3D Ultrasound Catheter.
